October - Halloween in Bedford; Hemlock Dancers at Beer & Food Fest
Spirits and beer will be abroad at the Bedford Swan Hotel on Thursday October 31st.
The fun begins with the opening of the third Beer & Food Festival at 5pm in the Coach Room. At 6pm a devil-ishly hot chilli will be served and at 8pm the scary Hemlock Morris Dancers will be in action.
The festival will continue on Friday 12 noon – 1 am with, at 7 pm a butchery, cookery and tasting demonstration.
On Saturday beers will be served from 12 noon – 1cam with, at 6pm, a traditional sausage challenge organised by Taste Real Food.
The last day of fun will be on Sunday with beers from 12 noon – 6pm and live music plus a hog roast.
Last Orders 6 – 9pm when remaining real ales will be sold at half-price
The Beer Festival has grown in size and strength each year and will include a wide range of never-before-sampled-in-bedford ales identified by former CAMRA award-winning publican Valerie Walter. She will bring in beers from up and down the UK which can be sampled in the Coach Room of the hotel which will be given a rustic make-over.
Entry £3.00 includes pint glass and beer guide. Free to CAMRA and Taste Real Food members.
