The Bedford Swan Hotel understands that every guest has different needs and requirements and the hotel offers the following facilties for guests with a disability.
Arrival
When you arrive at the Bedford Swan Hotel, guests requiring wheelchair access, or who find steps difficult, are advised to be dropped off at the front entrance of the hotel before parking to the rear of the hotel. Disabled drivers are asked to contact the hotel upon their arrival, using the doorbell provided, where a member of staff will meet them at the rear entrance with a ramp for wheelchair access.
Accommodation
The Bedford Swan Hotel has recently developed a disabled friendly bedroom, which is located on the second floor of the hotel and can be accessed by lift. The room has wider doors and lowered switches and amenities. The en-suite bathroom has grab rails and transfer space around the wc.

Public Areas
All public areas and amenities are located on the ground floor although there are steps to access the Sunken Lounge and the Restaurant, ramps for wheelchair access will be provided upon request. There is a disabled toilet in the public area of the hotel.
Conferences and Functions
Most of the conference and meeting rooms are located on the ground floor. The main function room, the Coach Room, is wheelchair accessible, please be advised that there is not a disabled toilet in this room. The State Room and the Duke of Bedford rooms are located on the first floor. There is a lift to the first floor, however there are a few steps between the lift and these rooms.
